This is your instructor!

Hi everyone! My name is Hajeen and I am a fourth-year doctoral student at Instructional Systems and Learning Technology. I am originally from Seoul, South Korea. I studied Educational Technology for my B.A and M.A at Ewha Womans University in Korea, and also studied MBA at Duke University. I worked for about 15 years at an AOL-like portal company, IT & business consulting firms, and an English education company before FSU. 

Currently, I am very interested in social learning, social media in education, and social presence and social engagement in online learning. I hope to do more research on these topics during this semester.

On a personal note, I have two boys, 11 and 16 years old. My older one is playing baseball at Chiles high school and wants to play at a major league someday. My younger one goes to Deerlake middle school and he also loves baseball. During this summer, we went to South Korea for 2 months and spent time with our family. We ate a lot of Korean food and made family trips. 

I hope all of you had a wonderful summer break and ready for Fall semester. Let's have fun while learning educational technology. You must have teacher mindsets during this course. I look forward to seeing you all!
